We have a special package through Precision Helicopters. They will pick you up at Brookside, visit several area wineries and return to the Inn. Ask for details when you call. |
The group has published a poster map, map-brochure and website that showcases the local flavor of wineries and businesses along the route.

Hard to believe, but the days are noticeably shorter. We are seeing some color both here at the Inn and in the surrounding vineyards. It has been warm in the valley which is adding sugar and color to the grapes. Vintners have been bottling their latest creations and growers are starting to plan harvest. I have heard dates between the last week of September and the third week of October. Autumn is a great time to visit the Valley. The activity at the wineries and vineyards adds an excitement, and nature adds a beauty unique to wine country. The cool evenings are perfect for a glass of good wine around the fire pit or the fireplace here at the Inn.

Some of our good wine (and beer) friends are planning events other than grape "pick'n and squish'n" in the next couple of months. Any of these events are more than worth the trip to the Valley.

| Lance Carleton, a great friend and very talented artists has produced some exceptional new road signage for Brookside.
Lance also did our Salmon Bell - Up Stream Bell - that hangs near to the Rose Cottage. He has an additional piece on loan to us.
You will also see some big changes in the appearance of our website over the next weeks. We appreciate your comments. |
We have had several wine makers' dinners in the last couple of months, including our pre-IPNC dinner with Andrew Rich Winery, Domaine d'Ardhuy and Chef Jason Wilson, as well as a dinner prepared by Chef Autumn Maddox and Chef Chelsea Herkal around three of the biodynamic wines - Bergström Winery, Montinore Estate, and Resonance Vineyard.
We have also done several private dinners where Bruce and Chef Paul Bachand pair wines from Oregon and around the world with the bounty of Oregon.
You can find some of the past menus on our website. As you'll see, these dinners are truly special events. Please call the Inn if you are interested in a very special culinary experiance.
