Spend the day at the
Inn just relaxing...walking around the grounds,
enjoying a picnic lunch on the lawn, reading a
favorite book by the stone fireplace in the great
room. At the end of your day, relax with a glass
of pinot on the wrap-around deck as you watch
the sun go down.

Bird
Watching
Sit quietly on one of the decks and watch the
numerous birds that have been sighted on the property.
Osprey, hawks, finches, quail, grouse, ducks,
geese, woodpeckers, and humming birds to name
a few. The five-acre pond and its meandering creek
are part of the natural flyway path of the Canada
geese on both their fall and spring migration
through the Willamette Valley.
We have binoculars available, but you may wish
to bring your own if you are an avid bird watcher.
Cycling
Tour the surrounding area by bicycle. We have
two touring bicycles available to guests. Call
prior to your arrival to reserve. To obtain the
Yamhill County Bicycling Guide, call 503.434.7501
Fishing
We have partnered with Oregon Fishing club (OFC.ORG)
to provide a private venue for catch and release
trout and bass fishing for our guests:
“We (OFC)
recently stocked a lot of big trout in the Brookside
Inn Pond so the fishing is good right away.
With the improvements we will be making to the
riparian vegetation and shoreline access, the
fishing will soon be "great". The
pond has a mature canopy of shade trees and
enough water flow to maintain the pond level
throughout the summer. In addition, the pond
has an aggressive population of resident bass.”
